is a member of several official aikido organizations.

Canadian Aikido Federation

The Canadian Aikido Federation, or CAF, is a non-profit organization officially recognized by Hombu dojo (parent organization of the Aikikai). The CAF is also a member of the International Aikido Federation (IAF).

The technical direction of aikido at the FCA is provided by Hayato Osawa Shihan (8th dan) in Japan, Osawa Shihan travels regularly across Canada to teach aikido at clinics and to evaluate different levels of exams with members of the exam committee. Shidoin, including Marcel and Michelle, represent him in every province.

Quebec Aikido Association (AQA)

Marcel and Michelle founded the Association québécoise d’Aïkido (AQA) in 2004, following a directive from Hombu dojo that required the FCA to form provincial organizations that would bring together all the dojos in a given province.

Member dojos meet once a year to discuss their concerns and suggestions, which can then be brought back by the Quebec provincial representative to the annual meeting of the Canadian Aikido Federation.
